The Harding County School District 31-1 is proud to announce that we are still participating in the Beef to School program. This program will allow the school to bring local, better-quality meat to the table for our students and increase our meal options. Currently, our K-12 students consume approximately 1,600 pounds of beef per year. The district can accept local beef that has been processed within an inspected facility. The beef donated must have been in good health and meet the standards for this program to qualify. We have limited freezer space, so coordination of each donation is a must on our end.
Those looking to donate beef to Harding County Public Schools can do so by contacting Josh Page, Superintendent at (605) 375-3241. A tax write-off may be available to donors, but please consult a tax advisor for more information.
